Research interest: The Kreiman lab is interested in the neural circuit mechanisms underlying volitional and value-based decision making. The lab combines invasive neurophysiological recordings with behavioral measurements, and focuses on building neurobiologically constrained computational models of how neurons orchestrate decisions. With the help of and collaboration with the scientists and philosophers in this group, the lab hopes to shed light on a mechanistic level at one of the most tantalizing questions of all times, the nature of free will.
