Research Focus: I am a philosopher of mind and cognitive science, with a particular interest in the nature of consciousness and agency. My current research focus concerns the measurement of consciousness, and the question of whether it is possible to build a consciousness meter. I also have interests in the unity of consciousness, disorders of consciousness, and the relationship between agency and consciousness. I am a member of the CIFAR Brain, Mind and Consciousness program.
