Ueli Rutishauser, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Biomedical Sciences

Board of Governors Chair in Neurosciences

Department of Neurosurgery & Center for Neural Science and Medicine

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Research interest: Dr. Rutishauser studies the neural mechanisms of learning, memory, and decision making. His laboratory uses a combination of experimental (in-vivo single-unit electrophysiology in humans, intracranial electrocorticography, eye tracking, behavior) and computational approaches to decipher the mechanisms by which humans form memories and subsequently use them for making decisions. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computation & Neural Systems from Caltech and did postdoctoral work at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt, Germany.
